Tony Wu, Owens Corning

Dr. Tony Wu is currently a Principal Scientist and a member of the Senior Technical Leadership (STL) at the Science & Technology Center, Owens Corning (Granville, OH). He has a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University, with around 20 years of experience in the design, characterization, scale-up, and commercialization of composite materials including glass nonwovens. His technical expertise includes material design, coating development, surface science and failure analysis. He has published > 10 peer-reviewed journal papers, and is a holder of 2 OC Trade Secrets and 11 US patents with several more pending applications. Tony is also an active member in INDA, MRS and TAPPI. He enjoys sightseeing and hiking while he’s free. He’s married with his wife, Vicky, for 21 years, and they have a son, Mason (13 years old) and a daughter, Haylee (6 years old).
